2nd April 2006 Above is the face of the lady who wrote the first Greek lesbian novel. Dora Rozetti, at the age of 21, saw her book "Her mistress" published in 1929 in Athens, just one year after "The well of loneliness" played havoc in England. The book received one favourable review from a major editor of a literary magazine and then disappeared from the face of the earth until the end of 2005. The 30s had hit Europe in their maniacal force. She dies totally unknown to most of us sometime in the 80s and now we just try to find more about the young lady who wrote one of the most beautiful lesbian love stories in world literature in a totally modern, guiltless and incredibly eloquent style. 11th July 2005 Athens Pride 2005 was a great success. We are grateful to everyone who kept going despite the, sometimes, insurmountable obstacles. We want to see it again next year and the following year too. In tears of joy I read that 283 Members of the European Parliament voted against the inclusion of any reference to Christianity in the forthcoming European constitution. 212 voted for it and 15 abstained. With no disrespect to the Communist Manifesto and the French Revolution, this is truly the first time that god is ditched by a non-bloody movemement and by an almost pan-European entity. Even if it didn't make the headlines, it will be bookmarked in the years to come as the most positive development in a year of religious paranoia starting with the USA and taken up by the Middle East. Even if individual governments refuse to endorse it, this is truly the first time that robed, collared, bearded or otherwise ridiculously clad reps of the ultimate catastrophe are officially put in their place - out of sight in anything that has to do with the future of this continent. Even if it is only on paper, for now. Even if it falls through eventually, there is now a precedent coming from the majority of the people of this continent that more sane generations will look back at and use. 22nd March 2003 The fin de siècle savages 1999 2001 2001 2002 2003 A History Lecture for 1st-Years in the year 2089 In today's class we look at the events that shaped our thinking today. Ever since the demise of the Soviet Union, the remaining superpower, the USA, grew more and more powerful. Amongst other factors, it is admirable to observe that never in one moment of its well hidden recessions did it let go of its arms programme. This had always been a well-embedded policy of the US, ever since the 1930s. When the markets collapsed, there were always weapons market bases created and maintained to tap on in order to inject the US economy with cash and fuel, something that always saved the precarious image of an American President. Casualties and human suffering were certainly accumulating at an alarming rate. People's discontent globally looked at best touching. War victims and post-war deaths of terrible diseases inflicted by the afore mentioned experimental weapons were, as said above, accumulating at a galloping rate. Also, the recession became harder to conceal. Let us also not forget that for some weird reason, which probably had a lot to do with the nepotism that has plagued all waning empires, the 'heir to the throne', so to speak, in the late years was a half-wit. This offended the intellectual class' sensibililties, who had traditionally been inactive. Thankfully, this affront was enough for them to pull together globally and to overthrow the empire, which, had it survived, its dogmas of rampant capitalism, total disregard for the value of human life, extreme policy of 'eat-so-ye-shall-not-be-eaten', drive towards the accumulation of extreme wealth by less than 20 entities (always ethically explained by 'good Christian hard work'), putting a price to health and education which ranged between 6-8 figures (unthinkable now, really), of being content to sit back and watch societal rifts getting deeper and unbridgeable and, finally, of bombing cities off the face of the earth and then bidding to rebuild them and posing with a big smile holding an orphan from their war, all this would have brought the world, civilisation, intellect to a halt. One cannot say it would have turned the clock back, because then one would have met up with the achievements of humans up to then. You see, nothing like that had ever befallen upon our heads before. No Huns, No Mongols, No Macedonians, No Romans, No Germans, No Ottomans, No Prussians, No Byzantines, No Soviets, No French, No British, Nothing. But one must not underplay the rest of the world's complacency and attraction to the entertainment culture offered by them, which people liked, frankly. What was there not to like! Only, it was too confusing...,/p> This week's paper: "The Entertainment and Pop culture of the late US period admittedly played the role of the Homeric epics and other mythology recitings in antiquity. But it also promoted a hard line of me-right/you-wrong, me-good/you-evil morality, a material supremacy, culminating in unstoppable capitalism and the need to engage in a arms' sale and use at all costs - measured mostly in human lives and incredible suffering, out and inside the US." About Spain and Portugal and Denmark I prefer to imagine them with a very big gun stuck to their temple, forced to utter the shit they have been uttering . Above is the face of the lady who wrote the first Greek lesbian novel. Dora Rozetti, at the age of 21, saw her book "Her mistress" published in 1929 in Athens, just one year after "The well of loneliness" played havoc in England. The book received one favourable review from a major editor of a literary magazine and then disappeared from the face of the earth until the end of 2005. The 30s had hit Europe in their maniacal force.

She dies totally unknown to most of us sometime in the 80s and now we just try to find more about the young lady who wrote one of the most beautiful lesbian love stories in world literature in a totally modern, guiltless and incredibly eloquent style.

We expect that she will sool be translated into other languages.

The 24th September 2003 marks now the official and most final ending to the Dark Ages. In tears of joy I read that 283 Members of the European Parliament voted against the inclusion of any reference to Christianity in the forthcoming European constitution. 212 voted for it and 15 abstained.

With no disrespect to the Communist Manifesto and the French Revolution, this is truly the first time that god is ditched by a non-bloody movemement and by an almost pan-European entity.

Even if it didn't make the headlines, it will be bookmarked in the years to come as the most positive development in a year of religious paranoia starting with the USA and taken up by the Middle East.

Even if individual governments refuse to endorse it, this is truly the first time that robed, collared, bearded or otherwise ridiculously clad reps of the ultimate catastrophe are officially put in their place - out of sight in anything that has to do with the future of this continent. Even if it is only on paper, for now.

Even if it falls through eventually, there is now a precedent coming from the majority of the people of this continent that more sane generations will look back at and use.

We are not so useless and maybe things are not so bad, after all!

Με δάκρυα χαράς διαβάσαμε την καταψήφιση του χριστιανισμού από το Ευρωπαϊκό Σύνταγμα. Η 24η Σεπτεμβρίου γίνεται τώρα η επέτειος του πραγματικού τέλους του Σκοταδισμού.

Ακόμα και αν δεν περάσει στις εθνικές κυβερνήσεις διότι κάποιοι γενειοφόροι αυτή τη στιγμή τρέχουν με νέφτι στα οπίσθια να κάνουν ό,τι μπορούν για να διορθώσουν αυτό το 'ανάθεμα' που τους πετάει μια για πάντα εκτός Ευρωπαϊκής Ιστορίας και οι οποίοι έχουν ακόμα δύναμη στην δυστυχισμένη περιοχή μας, αποτελεί πάντως ένα εκπληκτικό δεδικασμένο για τις επόμενες γενιές.

Μπορεί να μην έγινε πρωτοσέλιδο στις εφημερίδες, καθώς ο μονόλιθος έχει μόλις προσγειωθεί και τα πιθήκια απλώς τον κοιτάνε απαθώς, είναι όμως η αρχή του τέλους μιας διχιλιετίας απίστευτης κακοήθειας.

Τελικά δεν είμαστε τόσο άχρηστοι και τελικά μπορεί τα πράγματα να μην είναι τόσο απελπιστικά χάλια!

It is a shame to have needed a war to bring to the open the question of neglected antiquities in store rooms, or antiquities in the wrong, 'rightful' hands.

Can somebody out there, PLEASE, come and see and write about what is happening to Athens in view of the bloody Olympics? (Even a former Director of the British Museum had said the exact same thing on British national telly - just replace 'Hellas' with 'the Empire' and you get the meaning of 'Balkanisation of the mind') If you do not know the Balkans very well, I will provide you with some bibliography after the Olympics, when we look at new squares and pedestrianised roads and wonder what bit the dust. There are sculls that simply cannot be smashed. They belong to Homo Balkanicus, an extinction-proof species.

Oh, but there IS a difference. The black 'n' white ones knew perfectly well where they were and it never occurred to them to destroy it. Ok, they picked up quite a few free-standing bits and pieces for their own and their boss' mantelpiece, but so has anyone who could lay their hands on these things. Who wouldn't, really! (oops!)

The green ones, however, in their frantic de-evolutionary pace, will just never know what they did. Who knows, they probably hear 'Babylon' and all that comes to their butterbean soup of a christian mind is a whore that deserves what she gets. The horrific image of a black leather clad figure reciting Dante's Inferno, while contentedly observing the gassing of thousands, will always stay with us. But we never anticipated the dilemma that occurs now, if one, say, could choose one's cold-blooded executioners. I wouldn't like mine to be amnesiac herds.

Everyone is grateful to the Russians for their practical thinking in handing over to the US army the list of things one is not supposed to blow to pieces, ever. "Don't ask why now, dear. It's a very long story. Just do not do it and I'll try and explain everything over a glass of Stoli when things calm down. My treat. Promise, please?"

A History Lecture for 1st-Years in the year 2089

In today's class we look at the events that shaped our thinking today. Ever since the demise of the Soviet Union, the remaining superpower, the USA, grew more and more powerful. Amongst other factors, it is admirable to observe that never in one moment of its well hidden recessions did it let go of its arms programme. This had always been a well-embedded policy of the US, ever since the 1930s. When the markets collapsed, there were always weapons market bases created and maintained to tap on in order to inject the US economy with cash and fuel, something that always saved the precarious image of an American President. Casualties and human suffering were certainly accumulating at an alarming rate.

People's discontent globally looked at best touching. War victims and post-war deaths of terrible diseases inflicted by the afore mentioned experimental weapons were, as said above, accumulating at a galloping rate. Also, the recession became harder to conceal. Let us also not forget that for some weird reason, which probably had a lot to do with the nepotism that has plagued all waning empires, the 'heir to the throne', so to speak, in the late years was a half-wit. This offended the intellectual class' sensibililties, who had traditionally been inactive.

Thankfully, this affront was enough for them to pull together globally and to overthrow the empire, which, had it survived, its dogmas of rampant capitalism, total disregard for the value of human life, extreme policy of 'eat-so-ye-shall-not-be-eaten', drive towards the accumulation of extreme wealth by less than 20 entities (always ethically explained by 'good Christian hard work'), putting a price to health and education which ranged between 6-8 figures (unthinkable now, really), of being content to sit back and watch societal rifts getting deeper and unbridgeable and, finally, of bombing cities off the face of the earth and then bidding to rebuild them and posing with a big smile holding an orphan from their war, all this would have brought the world, civilisation, intellect to a halt. One cannot say it would have turned the clock back, because then one would have met up with the achievements of humans up to then.

You see, nothing like that had ever befallen upon our heads before. No Huns, No Mongols, No Macedonians, No Romans, No Germans, No Ottomans, No Prussians, No Byzantines, No Soviets, No French, No British, Nothing. But one must not underplay the rest of the world's complacency and attraction to the entertainment culture offered by them, which people liked, frankly. What was there not to like! Only, it was too confusing...,/p>

This week's paper: "The Entertainment and Pop culture of the late US period admittedly played the role of the Homeric epics and other mythology recitings in antiquity. But it also promoted a hard line of me-right/you-wrong, me-good/you-evil morality, a material supremacy, culminating in unstoppable capitalism and the need to engage in a arms' sale and use at all costs - measured mostly in human lives and incredible suffering, out and inside the US." Back in the 80s we stopped buying South African products because of the Apartheid. I don't know if that contributed at all in its demise. We were young and naive. But in case it did, maybe it is time to stop buying American and UK products. About Spain and Portugal and Denmark I prefer to imagine them with a very big gun stuck to their temple, forced to utter the shit they have been uttering .

So, let's see: McDonald's, Coke, Pepsi, Marlboro, KFC, Old Holborn, Rizlas (sigh), Golden Virginia (big sigh), Starbucks, would perhaps be a good place to start today. For more, go there

The first one is explored in depth by Dr. Mikaela Fiodorovna, who is slashing cobwebs with a machete every night. She is the Arachne Slayer and the Destroyer from Rome.

FINALLY! My associate in the construction of this site, Dr. Ivanna I Smith, has decided to get off her bum and contribute. Actually, she is gradually emerging (you are, aren't you!) from the pits of depression into which the desperate lack of decent porn for straight women had thrown her. It was easy to get her going though, if I had only thought of it earlier. All I had to do was mention one specific Russian department of an incomprehensibly prestigious University in the country where the sun never shines. Oh, I had to mention English weather too. I suppose being from and living in, a country where the only thing about right is the colour of the sky and the emergence of the sun every morning, as post-diluvially (huh?) ordained, has made me dismissive of the dire and grey circumstances of the fuck-the-euro zone inhabitants. Sorry, Doctor! I'll be more caring and understanding from now on.

So, we begin with a treatise on how would fanfic in the holy language of Tsvetaeva, Nabokov and few hundreds of the greatest literary spirits of this universe be treated by the unholy Russian department that has snipped hundreds of unsuspecting budding intellects and reduced them to an amorphous mass of miserable misfits.

P.S. Although I don't like blue backgrounds very much myself, I had to respect my colleague's heart-wrenching plea: "The background colour is what I imagine the sky would look like in a country where it didn't rain all the time, i.e. 'blue'."
